Du May 31 to June 15, 2025, Normandy pays tribute to the Allied landing with the D-DAY Festival Normandy, a major event to relive history through commemorations, shows and festive activities. Since the La Capricieuse campsite in Luc-sur-Mer, you are in the heart of the territory where the main festivities take place!

A historic and festive festival in tribute to June 6, 1944

Every year since 2007, the D-DAY Festival Normandy has brought to life the memory of Landing of June 6, 1944 through a rich, moving and spectacular program. Extended over several coastal townsincluding Ouistreham, Arromanches, Sainte-Mère-Église, Bayeux, Caen and many others, this festival is aimed at both history enthusiasts and families curious to understand this key episode of the Second World War.

You’ll find here:

  • Historical reconstructions with period military vehicles, costumed soldiers and Allied encampments
  • Shows, concerts and parades in the towns of the Côte de Nacre
  • Fireworks, nighttime screenings and commemorative ceremonies
