One single cookie, and only if you accept it
This site uses one tracker only: Google Analytics audience measurement, which tells us how many people visit the site and which pages they read.
It is only set if you click “Accept” in the banner shown on your first visit. Until you accept, no Google script is loaded and nothing is written to your device. If you decline, your choice is kept in your browser’s local storage — it is not a cookie — and the banner does not come back.
No advertising cookie, no social network tracker, no data resale. Your choice is kept for six months, after which the question is asked again.
Cookies set after acceptance: _ga and _ga_ZZ6G3HR0F2 (Google Analytics), kept for thirteen months, used to distinguish visitors and measure traffic.
What your browser does all the same
Displaying a page means loading resources. Fonts and images are served from our own server. Two external services are still called by your browser, on the “Our Normandy” page only. They receive your IP address — inherent to any connection — but set no cookie on our behalf:
- Cloudflare (cdnjs) — the Leaflet mapping library.
- Esri and OpenStreetMap — the map backgrounds.
When you leave this site
Our “Book” buttons take you to the Yelloh Village booking platform. Our links also lead to our restaurant’s website and to our Instagram, Facebook and YouTube pages.
Those sites apply their own cookie policies, over which we have no say. They only take effect from the moment you click.
Taking back control
You can set your browser at any time to block or delete the cookies placed by the sites you visit. The help pages of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge explain how.
