Booking terms
The terms that apply to booking a stay at Camping La Capricieuse.
Last updated: September 2026
Online bookings are made on the Yelloh Village platform and are governed by its own terms of sale, accepted at the time of booking. The present terms apply to bookings made directly with the campsite.
1. Purpose
These terms govern the rental of accommodation or a pitch at Camping La Capricieuse, operated by SASU LA CAPRICIEUSE, 2 rue Brummel, 14530 Luc-sur-Mer. Every booking implies unreserved acceptance of them.
2. Opening
The campsite is open from 3 April to 1 November 2026, then from 2 April to 31 October 2027. Services — restaurant, bar, bakery, water park, activities — follow a seasonal timetable that may change.
3. Booking
A booking becomes firm on receipt of the deposit and of the campsite’s written confirmation. It is strictly personal and may not be transferred without our agreement.
Deposit and balance
For any booking made more than 30 days before the start of the stay, a deposit of 25 % of the total amount is payable at the time of booking. The balance is due at the latest 30 days before the arrival date.
For any booking made less than 30 days before the start of the stay, payment in full is required at the time of booking.
Booking fees are waived on both rentals and bare pitches.
Should the deposit not be paid at the time of booking, or the balance not be paid within the stated period, the campsite reserves the right to cancel the booking and offer the accommodation for rent again, with no refund of sums already paid.
4. Prices
Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included. Tourist tax, collected on behalf of the local authority, is added to the price of the stay and paid on site. Prices shown on this site are indicative; only those confirmed at the time of booking are binding.
5. Arrival and departure
Rental accommodation: arrival from 5 pm, departure before 10 am.
Pitches: arrival from 2 pm, departure before 11 am.
Where departure is delayed without the “late departure” option having been taken, an additional night may be charged at the current rate.
Late arrivals must be notified to reception. A stay that has not begun and has not been notified within twenty-four hours may be treated as cancelled and the accommodation released for re-letting.
6. Condition and cleanliness
No security deposit is taken at La Capricieuse. You arrive, we hand you the keys, and that is that.
Accommodation must be left perfectly clean on the day of departure. Failing that, a cleaning charge of at least €95 incl. VAT is applied.
A check-out inventory may be carried out. Any damage or missing items remain the responsibility of the guest, against documented invoices.
7. Occupancy
Each unit is designed for a maximum number of occupants, stated on its page and including children and infants. That number may not be exceeded, for safety and insurance reasons.
8. Cancellation and changes
All cancellations must be sent in writing, by post or by email; cancellations by telephone cannot be accepted.
Without cancellation insurance:
- Cancellation up to 16 days before the start of the stay: 25 % of the total is retained as cancellation fees; the balance is refunded.
- Cancellation between 15 and 8 days before the start of the stay: 50 % of the total is retained; the balance is issued as a credit note valid for two years, usable only at camping La Capricieuse, non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Cancellation less than 7 days before the start of the stay, or failure to arrive: all sums paid are retained.
With cancellation insurance: sums paid are covered under the terms of the policy. To claim, supporting evidence must be sent by email or by post. The cost of the insurance is retained by the campsite; the balance is refunded. Where the reason is not covered, or the claim is refused, the scale above applies.
Under article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, accommodation services provided on a specified date are not subject to the fourteen-day right of withdrawal.
No changes can be accepted less than 15 days before arrival. Stays cannot be carried over to the following season.
All cancellations must be sent to us in writing. No refund is given for a stay cut short.
9. Pets
Pets are welcome, subject to booking and a supplement. An up-to-date vaccination record is required. Category 1 and 2 dogs are not admitted. Animals must be kept on a lead throughout the village.
10. Site rules
Staying with us means observing the site rules, displayed next to reception. Quiet is required between 11 pm and 7 am. Vehicles must move at walking pace and traffic is restricted at night.
11. Insurance
Each guest is responsible for taking out public liability insurance covering their stay. The campsite accepts no liability for theft, loss or damage to personal belongings, including inside the accommodation and on the pitches.
12. Water park
Access to the water park is reserved for campsite guests and subject to the rules on display. Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Swim shorts are not permitted: a close-fitting swimsuit, lycra type, is compulsory.
13. Photographs and descriptions
The photographs, floor plans, surface areas and descriptions on this site are provided for illustration. They are not contractual. Accommodation models may vary from one unit to another.
14. Complaints and mediation
Complaints must be sent to us in writing as soon as possible. Failing an amicable settlement, the guest may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator whose details appear in our legal notice.
The European online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law.
