Normandy Beach Race 2025: The big vintage event 15 minutes from Camping La Capricieuse

From September 19 to 21, 2025, the beaches of Ouistreham Riva-Bella will resonate with the sound of vintage engines for an exceptional edition of the Normandy Beach Race. And good news: this legendary event takes place just 12 km from Camping La Capricieuse!

A unique sand race… in a 100% vintage atmosphere

The Normandy Beach Race is much more than just a car rally: it's a true journey through time. For three days, pre-1947 motorcycles and cars invade Riva Bella beach for 200-meter demonstrations of speed, starting from a standing start, in the purest spirit of 1940s American racing.

The vehicles entered are carefully selected for their authenticity: no modern modifications here, only vintage engines lovingly restored. Harley-Davidson, Indian, Ford, Triumph, and Chevrolet... the finest brands are featured.

A popular family event

The Normandy Beach Race also boasts a warm and festive atmosphere. On site, you'll find:

• Vintage stands (clothing, accessories, mechanical parts)
• Food trucks and refreshment stands
• Rock 'n' roll concerts
• An audience often dressed in traditional clothes, for even more immersion

It's an ideal outing for car enthusiasts, but also for families looking for a change of scenery and original outdoor activities.

(I.e. Camping La Capricieuse is just 12 km away (15 minutes by car or 30 minutes by bike) from the beach where the Normandy Beach Race takes place. You will therefore be able to:
